MY HAPPY PLACE

Beginning when I was six my father and I would go to the Gila wilderness in New Mexico,specifically to Beaverhead ranch. It was my favorite place on earth horses for transportation, wood cook stoves, trout fishing, stories by the fire. My happy place. T

CROSSING THE BADLANDS

Near Grants Pass the black lava flow, covered in cactus, contrasts with the bright gypsum hills on the other side. On the way to my happy place. 16x 20

GATEWAY TO HAPPY

We always got there at the end of the day and I would run up to open the gate, so excited to be at the ranch.             16x 20

BEAVERHEAD RANCH...THE CANYON

This is the treacherous drive that took us into the ranch. On the opposing cliff walls were caves. The Indians would drop down on ropes to enter their dwellings.     16x 20
